CRFD members circa 2010
All of our Fire Fighters are volunteers who are trained and equipped with the same high quality standards that you would find in a paid fire department.
The Quick Response Unit (QRU) is the medical team of the Department. All medical personnel are volunteers who are licensed by the state as Paramedics, EMTs or EMRs. Many are also employed in area Hospitals and work full time as Health Care Providers.
Since 1947, the Corvallis Rural Fire District has served the community of Corvallis, MT. Corvallis is a bedroom community in southwestern Montana, a 100-square-mile area home to around 8000 residents.
CRFD currently has a volunteer base of over 55 members who provide medical and fire assistance all over the community.
We are always looking for volunteers and really appreciate and need the community's support. If you would like to volunteer, please come to Station One* at 317 Woodside Cutoff Road on any Thursday evening around 6:30 pm and we will give you a tour and an application. (*Note that we don't always meet due to COVID-19 precautions. If we are not meeting on a night you stop by, visit the contact section on this website and send us a message letting us know you are interested in volunteering)
